Athletic Physique

The Pure Elite Athletic Physique category is aimed at guys who prefer a physique which is more athletic looking and not as bulky and big as say the muscle physique category. Athletes with have a well balanced physique and good overall symmetry. We are not looking for you to be extra lean, you will have a healthy looking physique and have visible abs.

Posing

Athletes perform an I-Walk with 3 poses of choice (Free posing).

Followed by comparison round with mandatory poses

  • Front pose straight on hands at your side
  • Side pose with left hand on hip and right leg slightly out to the back
  • Back pose double bicep
  • Side pose with right hand on hip and left leg slightly out to the back

Mens Physique

Athletes in the Men’s Physique category must have a toned, healthy and lean physique. Showcasing a V taper but not overly muscular and lean like a bodybuilder. Each athlete must perform an I walk Mandatory poses and 1/4 turns.

 

Athletes walk out and perform their I walk with 4 poses on their mark. Front, side, back and side. Then walk to the back as the next athlete then starts their I walk. Athletes are then called forward for the comparison round

Mandatory poses.

 

  • Front pose with one hand of choice and and one leg slightly out towards athletes side
  • Side pose with left hand on hip and right leg slightly out to the back
  • Back pose arms positioned out to your side, lats flared showing V-taper
  • Side pose with right hand on hip and left leg slightly out to the back
  • Front pose with hand of choice on hip and one leg slightly out towards athletes side

 

Criteria for Mens Physique and Mens Physique Over 35

Each athlete must be barefooted and wear board shorts.

Classic Physique

Pure Elite Classic Physique

Looking for that classic bodybuilding look from the 70s to early 80s

Every competitor must wear black speedo style shorts. No white or colour logo's.

Athletes walk out individually and perform an I walk with free posing.

Then athletes are called forward together and line up at the front of the stage ready for their quarter turns.

Followed by comparison round with mandatory posing.

5 mandatory poses - front double bicep, side chest, rear double bicep, abdominals and thighs, classic pose of choice.

Fists can be open, closed or one of each.

  • Proportions
  • Physique Balance
  • Good definition but not crazy lean
  • Good Muscularity (size of muscle mass) But not extreme like a modern day bodybuilder 

 

Muscle Physique

Pure Elite Muscle Physique athletes will have well developed muscle mass, visible separation and striations. Good overall balance and symmetry. Abs must be visible.

Posing

Athletes perform an I-walk with 3 poses of choice.

Followed by the comparison round with mandatory poses.

  • Straight-on hands on waist, hands together in front of waist or most muscular
  • Side Chest of choice
  • Back double bicep

Male Fitness Model

Pure Elite Male Fitness Model's have a toned physique with good overall muscle definition. Abs are to be visible. Good body balance and symmetry.

Athletes perform an I-walk with free posing.

Followed by the comparison round with mandatory poses.

  • Front pose straight on hands at your side
  • Side pose with left hand on hip and right leg slightly out to the back
  • Back pose double bicep
  • Side pose with right hand on hip and left leg slightly out to the back

 

Criteria for Fitness Model Under 75kg, Fitness Model Over 75kg, Fitness Model over 35, Fitness Model Over 45, Tattooed Fitness Model and Pro Fitness Model

Scoring is split 70% physique based, 25% posing based, 5% other

 

Pure Elite Male Transformation

There is no specific physique requirement for this category. The judging is based on the athletes body balance, proportions, symmetry and transformation.

Everyones Transformation is different. Everyone starts in a different place and ends in a different place. This category is not who is the leanest on stage. It is the whole transformation from start to finish.

Athletes supply a before picture which is shown on stage.

This category is not just for weight loss. We also have athletes that have overcome illness, disease, in recovery, accidents, injuries and more.

Followed by the comparison round with mandatory poses.
